Sample the Web: Status Blog

Well, about 3 hours after I first noticed it being down, the site is back up. No word yet on what was wrong.

The Cornerhost Offsite Status Blog hasn't been updated since Dec. 21st. No word on what is going on with my site. tick tock...

One of the first things I read this morning, after discovering that Sample the Web was down, was this post that Russell was hacked. Needless to say, my paranoia kicked in full-force, but I was calmed once I was able to access the databases of the site and FTP in to my account without any problems or signs of foul-play.

I decided to start this blogspot hosted space as an offsite status blog for Sample the Web. This will be for days like today when the site is down. Why is it down? No idea. It looks like the server at cornerhost where the site is hosted is down. Something must be wonky with the server, as I can still access everything via FTP. Other users on the server have posted the same problem. Now we're just waiting for Michal to respond. tick tock...

I'll also use this space as a post placeholder while my site is down. All non-status posts made here will be made on my main site once it is back up and running.
